CoA to decide today whether India should play Pakistan at the World Cup

The Committee of Administrators (CoA) are scheduled to meet today (22 February) to take a final call on whether India should play Pakistan or boycott them at the 2019 World Cup, in the wake of the Pulwama terror attack that killed at least 40 CRPF soldiers on February 14.

There has been a heated debate in the Indian cricket circles since the Pulwama attack that India should either boycott Pakistan at the World Cup that starts from May 30, and the CoA have also been considering to send a letter to the ICC to get Pakistan banned from the event.

However, officials and unnamed sources in the know how are certain that the move would bear no fruit, as what India asks is impractical. Former Indian cricketer Sunil Gavaskar had also said that if India decide to not play Pakistan, it would only end up hurting the Men in Blue.
