Here’s why Angel Di Maria could be banned after PSG’s win over Manchester United

Paris-Saint Germain (PSG) winger Angel Di Maria could face serious sanctions from UEFA after his action-packed return to the Old Trafford on Tuesday night.

Di Maria played an excellent second-half in the first leg of the last-16 tie of the UEFA Champions League, but following an incident where he was seen swearing at the United fans after Kimpembe’s goal, the Argentine received a lot of hate and could now be banned for his actions.

Under Article 15 of UEFA’s Disciplinary Regulations, players can be sanctioned for “insulting players or others present at the match” and/or “provoking spectators”.
