Cardiff City to give tribute to Emiliano Sala in the next Premier League clash

Cardiff City have made a request to the Premier League to allow the club to have ‘daffodils’ on their jerseys for their next clash against Southampton that will take place on Saturday.

The tribute is meant for Cardiff City’s new signing Emiliano Sala who was officially declared dead on Friday following the identification of his body that was recovered from the English Channel by the Aircraft Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB) on Thursday.

Cardiff City owner Neil Warnock said, “I don’t think I have to mention Emiliano (ahead of the game). The tributes will have an impact. I’ve asked the Premier League if we can wear shirts with the daffodils and I’m sure they’ll allow that.”
