The Indian cricket team has started to give bigger opportunities than ever to the young and budding cricketers, the latest examples of which are Shubman Gill and Prithvi Shaw.
The Indian management had fast-tracked Prithvi Shaw’s entry into the senior team when they called the former U-19 team captain into their Test squad against West Indies last year. And this year we saw Shubman Gill make an entry into the team against New Zealand.
Speaking about the immense potential that the cricketing duo displayed, Sachin Tendulkar said on Thursday, “Shubman also played a crucial role in last year’s U-19 World Cup and has had a good domestic season, so both of them (Gill and Prithvi Shaw) have a lot of potential. Having said that, these boys have just started playing for India and they should enjoy their cricket.”
