The Indian Super League (ISL) has been growing with a strong pace left, right and center of late, and much of the credit has to go to the influx of footballing talent and expertise that has come to the Indian subcontinent from the world over. However, while veterans such as Arsenal legend Robert Pires felt that the progress was still slow, the latest Indian football news reports are sure to make people like Pires a little happier.

As reported in Indian football latest news, it has been reported that the five Spanish coaches who are working with different ISL teams for some time now, are set to fly over to Spain to learn from the best, at the refresher course being run by the Spanish FA.

There are five coaches overlooking five different ISL 2018-19 teams who are of Spanish descent, and as reported in Indian football latest news by Goal, they have already flown over to Madrid to attend the aforementioned coaching refresher course. While there were talks in Indian football circles about getting direct transmission of information and intellect from the European footballing models, the Spanish FA-run RFEF (Real Federación Española de Fútbol would seem to hit the nail right at it’s head.

As reported in latest Indian football news, Bengaluru FC head coach Carles Cuadrat and Jamshedpur FC head coach Cesar Ferrando have already travelled to Spain after facing each other in the ISL 2018-19 clash on Sunday. Josep Gombau, who has very recently joined the ISL team Delhi Dynamos as head coach, along with FC Pune City’s Miguel Angel Portugal and FC Goa’s Sergio Lobera, have already left India for the two-day programme.

Indian football latest news: ISL coaches to learn from Manchester City, Arsenal, Tottenham coaches and more

Of special importance is the footballing intelligentsia that will be present at the refresher course event. It will blow apart the Indian football news headlines, when the ISL coaches get to meet the Spanish national team coach Luis Enrique, the technical staff of the Premier League giants Manchester City, including Mikel Arteta, Luis Garcia, Arsenal head coach Unai Emery, Tottenham Hotspur head coach Mauricio Pochettino and Javi Gracía. More than 600 coaches from the world over are expected to take part in the course.

There will be a UEFA continuing education course as well, which will be held on October 8 and 9 at La Ciudad del Fútbol, i.e. the Spanish FA’s training facility present in Las Rozas de Madrid. The speakers at the opening ceremony will be the UEFA’s football education services head Frank Rudolph, and RFEF president Luis Rubiales.

The refresher course is set to make waves in Indian football latest news for several reasons. First, it is one of the very first times that such an entanglement is taking place between Indian football and Spanish football. Second, the intellect transferred from the Spanish FA to the Indian Super League will pay huge dividends in improving the face of the top-tier of Indian football.
