After being dropped from the Australian Test side for the upcoming two-Test series against Pakistan, Aussie veteran Glenn Maxwell is desperate to prove his detractors wrong and is looking forward to the JLT One Day Domestic Cup 2018 edition to score some runs while the national selectors watch in agony.

The Australian national selection committee has named a largely inexperienced 15-man side for the upcoming Tests against Pakistan, which will be played in the United Arab Emirates, starting from 7th October. As reported in latest cricket news, the selection of as many as five uncapped players had already shocked the cricket circles but it was the omission of the 29-year-old all-rounder Glenn Maxwell that became the cherry on the cake.

Earlier in 2017, Maxwell was an integral part of the Australian team which had toured the Indian subcontinent (India and Bangladesh), and had also performed reasonably well, registering his first-ever century against India in Ranchi. As reported in latest cricket news by Cricbuzz, Maxwell tol SEN Radio,

“Now, I just need to make more runs. Hopefully, I can pile on enough runs this summer to keep pushing my case forward. I had a pretty good year last year, so now I’ve just got to have another good year this year and hope selections go my way at some stage.”

While Maxwell can’t immediately be selected back for the Australian Test squad even if he wants to, his best bet would be to perform well in the Australia Domestic One-Day Cup 2018, and you can do your bit to watch the all-rounder in action by getting access to the New South Wales vs Western Australia live streaming (NSW vs WAU live streaming).
