Live Cricket News: Match start to be delayed in order to accommodate the Indian audience
The latest cricket live news is that Star Sports Network will have the rights to broadcast India’s tour to New Zealand. As per New Zealand crickets deal with Star Sports, every match of India’s tour to New Zealand except the 2nd T20I at Eden Park all other matches will start an hour late from their usual time in order to allow the Indian audiences to watch the match at a reasonable time.
Speaking about the upcoming tour of India to New Zealand, NZC CEO, Anthony Crummy said, “We think it’s another strong schedule in which we’ve continued the philosophy of taking international cricket to some of our most popular boutique grounds over the school holiday period. It’s exciting to have the India men’s and women’s team here. The men are currently ranked No. 2 in ODIs and T20s – and the women arrive as ICC Cricket World Cup finalists.”
In the last 18 ODI matches between India and New Zealand, the Virat Kohli led team have managed to win 10 matches with the Kiwi’s winning 7 and one being a non-result.
However, it will be the T20’s where New Zealand will be feeling quietly confident about themselves given that they have won 6 of the 8 matches they have played against India in the shortest format of the game.
