The New Zealand summer will begin with two test matches, three ODI’s and one T20 between the hosts and Sri Lanka, before India travel to the Kiwi land for 5 ODI’s and 3 T20I’s. Along with the men’s team, Indian women’s team will also be travelling to New Zealand for 3 ODI’s and 3 T20I’s.

Cricket Live News: India men’s and women’s team to play the 3 T20I’s on the same day in a doubleheader

As per latest live cricket news, Men and women’s team will play the 3 T20I’s as doubleheaders on the same day, while the ODI’s in Napier, Mt Maunganui and Hamilton will see the women’s game will be followed by the men’s match the next day. Along with the women and men’s team, India A team will also be travelling to New Zealand, to play 3 four-day games and 3 50-over games. This is part BCCI new initiative where the A team will look to accompany the senior team to all the overseas tour in order to gain valuable experience for the future.

The New Zealand summer will end with 3 ODI’s and 3 Test matches against Bangladesh, who recently beat Windies in a 3-match ODI in West Indies. Indian women’s tour to New Zealand will be the only home series for them in this upcoming summer, however, the fact that all 6 matches from this tour will be televised live is truly great and a first for New Zealand women’s cricket.

Live Cricket News: Match start to be delayed in order to accommodate the Indian audience

The latest cricket live news is that Star Sports Network will have the rights to broadcast India’s tour to New Zealand. As per New Zealand crickets deal with Star Sports, every match of India’s tour to New Zealand except the 2nd T20I at Eden Park all other matches will start an hour late from their usual time in order to allow the Indian audiences to watch the match at a reasonable time.

Speaking about the upcoming tour of India to New Zealand, NZC CEO, Anthony Crummy said, “We think it’s another strong schedule in which we’ve continued the philosophy of taking international cricket to some of our most popular boutique grounds over the school holiday period. It’s exciting to have the India men’s and women’s team here. The men are currently ranked No. 2 in ODIs and T20s – and the women arrive as ICC Cricket World Cup finalists.”

In the last 18 ODI matches between India and New Zealand, the Virat Kohli led team have managed to win 10 matches with the Kiwi’s winning 7 and one being a non-result.

However, it will be the T20’s where New Zealand will be feeling quietly confident about themselves given that they have won 6 of the 8 matches they have played against India in the shortest format of the game.

The Latest Cricket News Today surrounds the Indian cricket team which is currently preparing in Edgbaston, Birmingham for the first test match against England starting tomorrow afternoon.
