The I-League outfit Real Kashmir FC (RKFC) which is looking to expand it’s community and impact in India football, are making sure that they can get as much experience and exposure as possible ahead of the upcoming I-League season of India football. It was announced in the Indian football latest news that the club which is a small representative of India football in the I-League, are set to visit Germany for a training stint with the footballing giants BVB Borussia Dortmund.

The Indian football news regarding the Real Kashmir Football Club is certain to become a hot topic for discussion and debate in India football, as such tours and trips have been hard to come by, and are rarely read of in football news India. The owners of the Real Kashmir FC, Sandeep Chattoo and Shamim Meraj, said that they were only “carrying on from where we left” last season, as reported in Indian football latest news by the Times of India.

Real Kashmir FC is one of the first teams in India football to visit Germany and Scotland

As reported by in the latest football news India, an official statement by the RKFC informed, “We were the first team from Kashmir to play in Scotland. We are now the first youth team from Kashmir to visit Germany for a training camp.”

Real Kashmir FC might still be not very popular, but the story of their rise in India football is exceptional as they overcame numerous difficulties to become the first football team in the I-League to emerge from Kashmir, and are evidently in no mood to slow down.

As reported in football news India, RKFC owner Chattoo said, “It’s just the beginning. We want Real Kashmir to be what Barcelona is to Spain and what United is to Manchester and what BVB is to the city of Dortmund. We want every kid of the state who loves to play football, either aspire to play for RKFC or become a supporter by default.”

The stakeholders of the club also believe that the success enjoyed by RKFC in I-League and their rise in popularity in India football has the potential to have a positive impact on Kashmir itself, which is often torn in political disruptions.

While RKFC’s visit to Germany sent waves in Indian football latest news, the club owners did not forget to thank the Bundesliga giants, BVB Borussia Dortmund. As reported by the TOI in Indian football news, the club said in a statement,

“We also want to thank Borussia Dortmund for giving a small club like RKFC an opportunity to visit them and train at their football school. The boys will also visit the Signal Iduna Park as well as the German Football Museum.”

It also became a point to boast for RKFC in football news India, something that is well-known by the hardcore fanatics of world football, that Borussia Dortmund are one of the largest footballing associations in Germany, who have a membership base of around 145,000 people. And it is something that RKFC will be looking to achieve in the near future of I-League and India football. The Srinagar-based football club had become the first-ever outfit from Kashmir to qualify for the I-League first division after defeating the Delhi-based Hindustan FC 3-2 in May, 2018.

After the win which resulted in their qualification to I-League first division and rise in Indian football, RKFC owner Chattoo said, “We want to change the whole scenario, we want to bring a football revolution in Kashmir. We have opened the way. We want to make this paradise on earth a paradise for football.”
