Indian Super League outfit FC Goa, also known as ‘The Gaurs’, have initiated on the path to make sure that they achieve glory in the upcoming ISL 2018-19 season. Having finished third in the points table of last season of ISL football, the ISL team re-signed the Moroccon defensive-midfielder Ahmed Jahouh for the ISL 2018-19 season. The 29-year-old had impressed the Gaurs immensely while on loan from the Moroccan football club FUS Rabat last season, and has been re-signed to orchestrate the midfield of the ISL team, something which sent waves in ISL transfer news and even the latest Indian football news.

Ahmed Jahouh played in several Moroccan football clubs before moving to the ISL team FC Goa on loan

Ahmed Jahouh had started his career with Moroccan football club Ittihad Khemisset, after which he went on to play for Moghreb Tetouan. Having displayed a sort of an omnipresence in their midfield, Ahmed Jahouh had gone to make 99 appearances for Moghreb Tetouan from 2010 to 2015.

During the 2015/16 season of Moroccan football, Ahmed Jahouh was roped in by Raja Casablanca, as the 11-time champions wanted to bring in skill and experience to their squad. Only a year later, Ahmed Jahouh had signed for FUS Rabat, the club from where he was roped in by the ISL team FC Goa on loan.

The midfielder performed excellently for the ISL team in the previous season of ISL football, and was often at the center of the Indian football news or ISL news. It can be said that Ahmed Jahouh played a crucial part in FC Goa finishing up third in the table rankings.

Making waves in the ISL news and latest Indian football news, FC Goa announced the ISL transfer move on their official Twitter handle, and wrote, “Jahouh is back! Jahouh is a Gaur again!”

Having reached the playoff spots in the last season of ISL football, Ahmed Jahouh has reignited FC Goa’s hopes to shoot for glory in the ISL 2018-19 season, and if not, then at least reach the playoffs again. And given the fact that FC Goa have been one of the most successful teams in ISL football, having finished in the playoffs in every season of ISL football and even reaching the final on one occasion.

FC Goa repeated their pattern in the last season of ISL football when they scored the most number of goals in the process, and will now hope to go one better than their best-ever finish and win the league.
