Virat Kohli’s side beats MS Dhoni’s side 4-2, in the practice football match
When we think about it, both Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni are legends in their own space. While Kohli is the current captain of Team India across all formats, and arguably the best batsman of the modern era, MS Dhoni has been one of the most successful captains of the Men in Blue, and can be summed up as the most intelligent, calm, and powerful presence on the cricket field. It goes without saying, that both the captains would have given it their all to win the practice football match.
Announcing the winner of the football match, was Indian batsman Dinesh Karthik, who has recently gained a regular spot in the Indian team after his heroics in the Nidahas Trophy final. The winner of the match was Virat Kohli’s team, as they had defeated MS Dhoni’s side with a scoreline 4-2.

Apart from announcing the winner of the match, Dinesh Karthik also conducted a casual chat session with India’s limited-overs ‘bully’ Shikhar Dhawan, as well. As reported by India Times,
“Today Shikhar is taking a day off. He feels that rest before a test is the best. He’s not doing anything today. Most players like to have a hit and feel the wicket and ground, but Shikhar is simply feeling nature. He’s in sync with the nature.”
India had started the tour of England with a dominant win over Ireland in a two-match T20I series. Now the Men in Blue are working to get ready for a three-match T20I series against England which starts on 3rd July, 2018.
