This particular Liverpool News surfaced on Wednesday with AS drafting a complete report and claimed that reliable FC Barcelona News sources had indicated to the publication Salah’s representatives had offered his services to the reigning La Liga champions and have him playing alongside Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and former teammate Philippe Coutinho at the Camp Nou.
Is Salah Barcelona’s backup option for Griezmann?
This particular FC Barcelona Transfer News story also mentioned that the Egyptian star was Barcelona’s fallback option in case they fail in their highly publicized pursuit of French striker Antoine Griezmann this summer. The report further stated that Salah’s representatives and the club were working together to find an agreeable number to entice Liverpool to sell.
Salah’s agent though himself took to twitter and immediately quashed this Liverpool Transfer News by denying that any such offer had occurred. “This never happened,” Remy Abbas Issa said from his Twitter account, quoting the AS story in his tweet. “AS, you need better sources.”
This Liverpool news comes in the wake of Salah undergoing rehabilitation from a severe injury suffered during last month’s Champions League final which forced him to go off in the first half of the game. He, however, hopes to be ready in time to play some part in the World Cup in Russia, and was also included in Egypt’s squad.
