In latest Liverpool Transfer News and Chelsea Transfer News, we speak of AS Roma goalkeeper Alisson Becker who is attracting plenty of interest in this transfer window. Other than the two Premier League giants, Champions League holders Real Madrid are also looking to bring in the Brazilian keeper and bolster their first line of defence this summer.
There are increasing reports, Liverpool News, Liverpool Latest News, Chelsea News and Chelsea Latest News coming in that Alisson’s future lies away from Italy and Serie A with AS Roma waiting for bids to pour in over the next few weeks. The situation, though, is likely to be resolved only after the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia where the 25-year-old will be Brazil’s first choice in goal ahead of Manchester City‘s Ederson.
The rise and rise of Alisson Becker
Alisson, the 25-year-old Brazilian international, and has emerged as one of the most impressive goalkeepers in world football since taking over as Italian giants AS Roma’s No.1 this past season, following the end of Wojciech Szczęsny’s loan with the club. He was also instrumental in their run to the Champions League semi-finals and was particularly influential in the quarter-final tie against Barcelona.
Alisson has also earned 25 international caps with Brazil and is expected to be their No.1 for the next decade or so.
Alisson to Chelsea or Real Madrid?
While the recent Liverpool News, Liverpool Latest News, Liverpool Transfer News, Chelsea News, Chelsea Transfer News and Chelsea Latest News indicate the two clubs’ interest the 25-year-old goalkeeper, Spanish giants Real Madrid cannot be ruled out of the mix either. Much will also depend on whether Thibaut Courtois, the Blues’ current first choice goalkeeper, decides to leave Stamford Bridge or not.
If the Belgian goalie decides to stay put in West London, Real could go all out and win the race for Alisson’s signature. On the other hand, if Courtois moves to the Spanish capital, Chelsea could find themselves in pole position and table a bid in the range of 70-80 million euros for the Brazilian shot-stopper.
Roma, though, are intent on asking for at least 100 million euros for their prized asset and sporting director Monchi is not willing to lower the price. This is why Liverpool are increasingly looking as the least likely destination for Alisson as they might be prized out of the deal.
Further, it has also been reported that Roma are yet to receive any written offer but are also resigned to losing their goalkeeper this summer. If Alisson were to eventually leave, then the Giallorossi could decide to bet on Udinese’s young goalkeeper Alex Meret after previously being linked with Bayer Leverkusen’s Bernd Leno as well.
