Dabang Delhi are looking to make a strong statement ahead of the PKL 2018 Season and were very precise in signing key players for PKL Season 6. Dabang Delhi only retained Meraj Sheykh prior to the PKL 2018 auction and decided to freshen their squad after a poor PKL 2017 campaign. Dabang Delhi team 2018 indeed looks competitive after the franchise signed quality players on Day 2 of PKL 2018 Auction. As Dabang Delhi KC look forward to the new season, we take a look at the 5 key players bought in Pro Kabaddi 2018 Auction by Dabang Delhi KC.

Like every PKL team, Dabang Delhi team 2018 were aggressive on Day 1 of the Pro Kabaddi 2018 Auction where Dabang Delhi went beyond INR 1 Crore in attempt to sign Rahul Chaudhari, Monu Goyat, and Deepak Hooda, however, Dabang Delhi KC were outbid by other teams or were denied the chance to sign those players after the teams used Final Bid Match option against Dabang Delhi at the Pro Kabaddi 2018 Auction.

5 Key Players bought by Dabang Delhi at the PKL 2018 Auction

1). Chandran Ranjith – ₹61.25 lakh

Throughout last season, Dabang Delhi were over-reliant on Meraj Sheykh to get the raid points as the Iranian had little support when it came to raiding. Dabang Delhi management was adamant to sign a quality raider during the PKL 2018 Auction and tried their hands at Rahul Chaudhari, Monu Goyat, and Deepak Hooda. However, Dabang Delhi KC ended up signing the former Gujarat Fortunegiants raider Chandran Ranjith who came midway in the PKL Season 5 and impressed everyone. C. Ranjith scored 51 points from 11 matches and looked like an impressive prospect for the upcoming seasons. Having signed C. Ranjith for INR 61.25 lakhs, Dabang Delhi now have an able back-up for Meraj Sheykh.

2). Pawan Kumar Kadian – ₹20 lakh

This came as a real surprise to everyone sitting in the PKL 2018 auction room when no team decided to bid high for Pawan Kumar Kadian who was the mainstay for Jaipur Pink Panthers last season. Pawan was Jaipur’s top raider and he had amassed 122 points from 21 matches in PKL Season 5. Dabang Delhi got a real bargain when they signed the youngster for his base price of INR 20 Lakhs. With Meraj and Ranjith already in the squad, Pawan will add potency to Delhi’s attack and make Dabang Delhi a formidable unit for the PKL 2018 Season.

3). Vishal Mane – ₹45 lakh

More than hi defending, Vishal Mane will bring the winning mentality to Dabang Delhi setup. The deadly defender scored 39 tackle points for Patna Pirates last season and won 3rd consecutive PKL title with Patna Pirates. Signing Vishal Mane was a key factor for Dabang Delhi after they lost Nilesh Shinde even before the PKL 2018 auctions had begun.

4). Ravinder Pahal – ₹20 lakh

Nobody is quite sure what happened to Ravinder Pahal’s stocks at PKL 2018 auction when the star defender went unsold on Day 1 of the PKL 2018 auction. Known as “The Hawk”, Ravinder was one of the best defenders of PKL Season 5. Ravinder notched up 5 tackle points from 19 matches and was Bengaluru Bulls’ main man in defense. With Vishal Mane already in the setup, adding Ravinder Pahal in the mix, Dabang Delhi will be a force to reckon with in the PKL Season 6.

5). Rajesh Narwal – ₹16 lakh

Many might not rate Rajesh Narwal high in the list of best Kabaddi players at the moment but the man does a job for whichever team he plays for. Rajesh Narwal was part of UP Yoddha setup last season and although the team did not have a season to remember, Rajesh Narwal stood out with his all-round perforamances. Rajesh Narwal will also bring experience to Dabang Delhi setup and having signed for INR 16 Lakhs, Dabang Delhi will think that they have got a real bargain ahead of the PKL 218 Season.
