Royal Challengers Bangalore are going to face Delhi Daredevils on April 21, at 8 PM IST, at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. The RCB captain, Virat Kohli, has been finding his team in the lower ranks of IPL 2018, and Team India captain, who recently got awarded the Orange Cap for scoring the highest runs, is not the one to blame. On the other hand, Delhi Daredevils have hit the rock-bottom of the IPL 2018 rankings, despite of having revamped their squad for the ongoing season, when they acquired Gautam Gambhir for INR 2.8 crore and named him the captain of the franchise. In this article, we look at the RCB last match scorecard; last match of RCB scorecard or Bangalore last match scorecard, and DD last match scorecard; last match of DD scorecard or Delhi last match scorecard.

Having played four matches so far in the IPL 2018 season, Royal Challengers Bangalore have surprisingly lost three, and are ranked at no. 7 in the IPL 2018 table standings. Let us revisit the RCB last match scorecard or Bangalore last match scorecard. In the last match of RCB scorecard, which was being played against the Mumbai Indians, the Kohl-led team had the upper hand at the start, winning the toss and choosing to bowl first. When Mumbai Indians came to bat, not many batsmen had to contribute, as Evin Lewis (42-ball 65) and Rohit Sharma (52-ball 94) set the Wankhede Stadium on fire. With a little contribution from Kieron Pollard, Krunal Pandya and Hardik Pandya, the final score of Mumbai Indians had reached 213/6 in 20 overs.

In reply, Royal Challengers Bangalore batsmen’s efforts lacked, except Virat Kohli, who opened the innings and slammed a 62-ball 92-run knock, and ended up being not-out. Had it not been the poor performances by the remaining RCB batsmen, the team could have won it’s 2nd match. However, as Quinton de Kock’s 19 runs became the second highest score in the team after Kohli, RCB lost the match by 46 runs.

Delhi Daredevils have played 4 matches too, and have lost 3, just like the RCB team, but are ranked even lower than the Kohli-led franchise, as the Gautam Gambhir captained team showcases an abysmal net run rate. Let us revisit the DD last match scorecard or Delhi last match scorecard. In the Delhi last match scorecard, which was played against Kolkata Knight Riders, The Delhi side had lost the match by a huge margin of 71 runs. In a similar fashion to RCB, DD had also won the toss and had opted to field first. The DD bowlers showed a collective effort when Trent Boult took 2 wickets, Chris Morris took 2 wickets, Shahbaz Nadeem scalped a single, Rahul Tewatia claimed 3 wickets, and Mohammed Shami took one as well.

However, the bowling unit’s effort couldn’t halt KKR batsmen to show a collective effort as well, as Chris Lynn‘s 31, Uthappa‘s 35, Nitish Rana‘s 59, Dinesh Karthik‘s 19 and Andre Russell‘s 41 helped KKR to reach the final score of 200/9.

In reply, Delhi Daredevils’ batting order lacked heavily and fell victim to KKR bowling unit, as apart from Rishabh Pant and Glenn Maxwell, who scored 43 and 47 runs respectively, no other DD batsman could pass the double digits, making Delhi lose all it’s wickets in less than 15 overs, with a final score of 129.

In the upcoming clash of Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Delhi Daredevils, it remains to be seen which team has a higher calibre, and which team is not meant to top the IPL 2018 charts. A win will be very much needed by both the teams tonight, and a win is what they will go all-in for, at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, on April 21st, 8 PM IST.
