- Andrew Tye confident on Kings XI Punjab’s bowling unit to deliver the goods this season
- KXIP became the first team to beat Sunrisers Hyderabad this season
- Andrew Tye believes, KXIP can bowl out any team for less than 100
In the latest IPL Cricket news, Kings XI Punjab (KXIP Team 2018) truly announced their arrival in the IPL 2018 season with a comfortable 15-run win over the table toppers Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH team 2018) with Chris Gayle and Andrew Tye IPL 2018 putting up match-winning performances. While Chris Gayle scored his 6th IPL century last night, it was Andrew Tye IPL 2018 who bowled a magical spell in the death overs to finish with the figure of 23/2 from his 4 overs in a big run-chase. Mujeeb Zadran was another bowler who kept a check on SRH‘s run-scoring, giving away just 27 runs from his 4 overs. Following their win in the IPL 2018 KXIP vs SRH match, IPL Andrew Tye is confident of KXIP‘s bowling unit to cope with pressure in the upcoming games of IPL 2018.
Commenting on KXIP‘s ever-improving bowling attack, Andre Tye said: “We have got variety in our attack, there is not much of the same, there is me, Mohit, Barinder (Left arm pacer), there is Mujeeb, Ash (Ravi Ashwin) and others who can bowl as well. We have found it balanced at the moment but I am sure there will be some selection headache when Axar is back for selection again. We can only get better from here because I don’t think Mohit has hit his best form yet, and I am really looking forward to the game where we all deliver and I believe that day we can bowl a team out for less than 100.”
Chris Gayle’s innings vs SRH was a pure class
Unlike the KXIP bowling attack on the night, SRH looked short of ideas when Chris Gayle was hitting them out of the ground and scored yet another IPL century. Andrew Tye IPL 2018 believes that it was Gayle’s planning to go after the certain SRH bowlers and then rotating the strike in middle overs was what got the team to a match-winning total.
Glorifying Gayle’s century, AJ Tye said: “Pitch was a good one tonight, a little bit on the slower side than the previous game, more like the first game we had here. Gayle played it to perfection, he picked the bowlers he wanted to go after, went after them, made sure he put pressure on Kane Williamson by not getting out and launching in the end. You don’t see Rashid Khan get hit for plenty but he went for 25 in an over and more than 48 in the spell, it does not happen often.”
