IPL 2018: Jos Buttler expecting big things from Ben Stokes at Rajasthan Royals

  • Buttler believes Ben Stokes’ IPL 2018 season will be a massive success
  • England teammates Buttler and Stokes will again team up for Rajasthan Royals Team 2018 this season
  • Alongside skipper Steve Smith, Buttler and Stoke will be expected to lead Rajasthan Royals 2018 challenge

English wicketkeeper-batsman Jos Buttler has hailed teammate Ben Stokes’ IPL 2018 capture of Rajasthan Royals, stating that the troubled all-rounder is mentally very strong and is capable of overcoming the difficult times he has had to endure since the Bristol pub brawl incident in September last year. Both Buttler and Stokes will play for Rajasthan Royals Team 2018 and the big-hitting right-hander is excited about the prospect of turning out for the returning Royals in IPL 2018.

Buttler believes Ben Stokes’ IPL 2018 campaign will be a success

Speaking to the Times of India on Friday (March 23), Buttler said, “Ben will be absolutely fine and more than ready for the IPL. He is already back for England in New Zealand and is quite comfortable. He is a huge part of England. It’s great to have him back in the English side as he is one of the best players in the world.

Buttler, who is England’s limited-overs vice-captain, in fact believes that Ben Stokes can repeat his MVP performance from last year and lead Rajasthan Royals 2018 to the title win this year. “I am expecting some big things from him at Rajasthan Royals Team 2018 this time,” he said.

Jos Buttler IPL 2018 starter for Rajasthan Royals?

After two successful years with the Mumbai Indians where he also won the title last year, Jos Buttler’s IPL 2018 journey will see him turning out for Rajasthan Royals Team 2018 and the 27-year-old dasher is looking forward to the new challenge as a part of Rajasthan Royals 2018.

In latest live cricket news coming out of the RR 2018 camp, Buttler is expected to be among the four foreigners to start for the franchise alongside captain Steve Smith, Ben Stokes and Jofra Archer and given his recent form, he could prove to be one of the key players for Rajasthan Royals Team 2018.

My exact role will be decided by the team management, but in recent times I have been opening the batting and have quite enjoyed it. I am also used to batting in the middle order and have been playing the role of a finisher. I am quite comfortable with it. So, I am available for whatever role I am given,” he said.

Jos Buttler’s IPL 2018 and Ben Stokes’ IPL 2018 outings will also see them link up with the great Shane Warne, who will be back in the Rajasthan Royals 2018 dugout as a mentor. Buttler also revealed that the legendary Australian leg-spinner was one of the players he looked up to while growing up.

He (Shane Warne) was the most famous cricketer back then and later I enjoyed listening to his commentary. He has an amazing cricketing brain,” Buttler signed off.
