ICC RANKING 2018: ICC RANKING T20 2018, ICC T20 BOWLER RANKING, INDIA BOWLING ICC T20 RANKING
The International Cricket Council (ICC) Player Rankings is a widely followed system of rankings for international cricketers based on their recent performances. The ratings were developed at the suggestion of Ted Dexter in 1987 and formalised by David Kendix. The intention was to produce a better indication of players’ current standing in the sport than is provided by comparing their averages. In the ICC Ranking 2018 table, international cricket players’ performances are ranked using a points based system which is worked out by doing a series of calculations leading to a sophisticated moving average. Players are rated on a scale of 0 to 1000 points. In the ICC Ranking T20 2018, if a player’s performance is improving on his past record, his points increase; if his performance is declining his points will go down. While calculating the ICC T20 Bowler Ranking, the value of each bowler’s performance within a match is calculated using an algorithm, a series of calculations (all pre-programmed) based on various circumstances in the match. For ICC Ranking T20 2018, there are slightly different factors than the ones for ICC Ranking 2018 for Tests and ODIs.

Yuzvendra Chahal T20 Ranking – 2nd
Spin wizard Yuzvendra Chahal recently took giant strides in ICC T20 Bowler Ranking table owing to his successful outing in the Nidahas Trophy T20 tri-series, moving up as many as 12 places to reach the second spot behind Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan. While the sensational Rashid has 759 rating points, Chahal has now reached a career high 706 rating points and is second in the ICC Ranking T20 2018 for bowlers. The Haryana leg-spinner took eight wickets in the tournament and performed admirably when India needed him most.
Yuzvendra Chahal’s T20 Ranking is also down to his consistent performances in the shortest format over the last 12 months, where he also emerged as the world’s leading T20I wicket-taker in the year 2017.

Jasprit Bumrah T20 Ranking – 11th
Ever since his debut in the year 2016, Jasprit Bumrah has emerged as one of the most reliable T20 bowlers in the international circuit and is known for his highly vaunted death-overs skills. The Mumbai Indians’ bowler picked up 12 wickets in the year 2017 and was even the top ranked bowler in the ICC T20 Bowler Ranking table in October ’17. Since then, Jasprit Bumrah’s ICC Ranking has gone down to 11th as he has only managed a solitary wicket in the year 2018. Currently, India’s premier T20 bowler has 609 rating points and is only a single rating point ahead of Pakistan’s Shadab Khan.
Nevertheless, Jasprit Bumrah’s ICC Ranking makes him only the second Indian in the ICC Ranking T20 2018 table for ICC T20 bowler ranking and India bowling ICC ranking.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar T20 Ranking – 22nd
After his Man of the Series performance in the T20I series against South Africa, fast bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar had made significant gains in the ICC Ranking T20 2018, jumping to 12th spot in the ICC T20 Bowler Ranking table in February. Since then, the Sunrisers Hyderabad ace has dropped down to the 22nd place as he was rested for the recent Nidahas Trophy in Sri Lanka. But in all fairness, Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s ICC Ranking is certainly not a true reflection of his ability as a white-ball specialist as he is one of the finest T20 bowlers going around in world cricket at present.
