Egypt born Liverpool star Mohamed Salah has been scoring tons of goals for ‘The Reds’ this season, but now everytime Salah finds the back of the net, it is going to cost a telecommunications company in Egypt a ton of Egypt millions. The No.11 wearing winger has netted 36 goals in 41 games this Premier League season, and now every goal that the Egyptian scores it could help his people back home.
Ever since Mohamed Salah joined Liverpool for £34m from AS Roma last summer, he has been setting the Premier League ablaze, rocketing his club to a number three position in the Premier League table, and getting ‘The Reds’ a Champions League date night with Manchester City.
Mohamed Salah is about to help all of Egypt with his goals
The renowned telecommunications company, Vodafone Egypt, have agreed to give all their customers, a total eleven minutes of free talk time, every single time Mohamed Salah scores a goal from now on, as reported by the Mirror UK.
The telecommunication giants’ Vodafone Egypt have an estimated 43 million active subscribers, as per the official figures on their website, and calculating the average price that Vodafone Egypt charges their customers, the amount that the company has agreed to giving away to the Egypt users every time Salah scores a goal, totals up to well in excess of £100m. Naturally, the move could be very expensive for Vodafone, and we might witness Salah costing them a fortune.
Often dubbed as ‘King Salah’, the 25-year-old has shaken up the Anfield in a very little time. While he was signed by Liverpool in June, 2017, for a record signing fee, what came after Salah wore the Liverpool jersey became a bigger news. He quickly clinched the ‘Player of the Month’ Award for August 2017, and then there was no stopping the ‘King’.
Recently, the Egyptian footballer netted four goals against Watford, and doesn’t look in any mood to slow down, which is why the deal made by Vodafone Egypt to give 11 minutes of free talk time to all of its Egypt users, every single time Mo Salah scores a goal, is bound to shake up the company’s economy.
