One of the most hyped star footballer of the contemporary age and the Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) striker, Neymar, has given a special tribute to the upcoming 2017/18 UEFA Champions League Round of 16. The 26-year-old took out some time before PSG’s clash against Real Madrid to get some fresh tattoos, which portray his love for football, and the dedication to take home the 2017/18 UEFA Champions League trophy.
The Brazilian national footballer Neymar was signed by the top France football club, PSG, for a world record signing fee of £198 million. Now the striker is doing all that he can in his capacity, to bring the 2017/18 UEFA Champions League glory to his current club this season, and Neymar’s latest tattoo has been made in an attempt to give tribute to his European footballing success of 2015 with his former football team Barcelona.
Ahead of the first leg of the 2017/18 UEFA Champions League Round of 16, which will take place at the Santiago Bernabeu (Real Madrid’s home-ground) on Wednesday (14 February), Neymar got the tattoos to remind himself of the constant urge that he wants to lift the UEFA Champions League trophy this season.

Tattoo artist Adao Rosa posted the photos of Neymar’s latest tattoos on Instagram, and here is to to hoping that the inks printed on the skin of the star footballer don’t go unnoticed.
Along with the trophy design that Neymar got on his calf, the 26-year-old also got three swallows (birds) inked on the nape of his neck behind his left ear. While the Champions League trophy carries a clear message, Neymar wants it, the birds are said to signify values like – ‘honour, respect, courage, freedom, dignity and trust’, as reported by Neymar’s tattoo artist, Adao Rosa.
Champions League Round of 16: PSG v Real Madrid
In the thriller tie of the knockout stages, Real Madrid face an unbridled PSG, who set numerous Champions League records when they ran through the group stages of the Champions League in later 2017.
PSG stars – Neymar, Kylian Mbappe and Edinson Cavani – have scored a pile of goals coming into the 2017/18 UEFA Champions League Round of 16, and will fancy their chances against Real Madrid, who have been found struggling for the major part of their season. With PSG and Neymar standing as a strong opponent in Los Blancos’ way, Cristiano Ronaldo and co. will have to fight hard in the tournament to keep their hopes of winning the silverware alive.
