1. Rashid Khan – 18 wickets

Afghanistan’s bowling prodigy, Rashid Khan, had taken the BBL 7 by storm, entering the headlines due to his spinning prowess, which managed to baffle each and every top-class batsman of the Big Bash League 2017-18. Playing for the Adelaide Strikers, Rashid Khan took 18 wickets in 11 matches, giving only 249 runs, ending up with an economy of 5.65 in the batting friendly format.

Rashid Khan’s best bowling figures came from the Big Bash league 2017-18, when he took 3 wickets conceding only 20 runs. The 19-year-old was one of the main reasons why Adelaide Strikers became the champions of BBL 7, and hence, he is at the apex of the list of top 5 players with most wickets in BBL 7.

2. Dwayne Bravo – 18 wickets

The West Indies all-rounder star has been equally magnificent with his bat and the ball. Playing for Melbourne Renegades, Bravo took 18 wickets in 11 matches too, however, conceding more runs than Rashid Khan, the reason why he landed on no. 2 in the list of top 5 players with most wickets in Big Bash League 2017-18 (BBL 7). In all of the matches that Dwayne Bravo played in BBL 7 (11), he conceded 363 runs, and his best bowling figures came when he took 5 wickets in 28 runs, with which he ended up with an economy of 8.47 at the conclusion of the BBL 2017-18 season.

3. Andrew Tye – 16 wickets

The 31-year-old Australian cricketer has done stints in quite a few domestic T20 leagues, which includes the Indian Premier League as well. Ben Laughlin is an Australian bowler who has played in the BBL for Hobart Hurricanes as well, previously. However, in the BBL 7 season, Laughlin played 12 matches for Adelaide Strikers in which he took 16 wickets, conceding 368 runs. With the best bowling figures of 4 for 26, Ben Laughlin ended up with the economy of 8.36, making himself one of the top 5 players with most wickets in BBL 7.

5. Jofra Archer – 16 wickets

Playing for Hobart Hurricanes, the West Indies cricketer clicked 16 wickets in 12 matches, with the best bowling figures of 3 for 15. Jofra Archer conceded 369 runs in total of his appearances for Hobart in BBL 7, and ended up with an economy of 7.96. In the final clash of Big Bash League 2017-18 between Hobart Hurricanes and Adelaide Strikers, which took place on 4th February, Jofra Archer could only take 1 wicket, conceding 46 runs. Nonetheless, Archer is one of the top 5 players with most wickets in BBL 7.
