The mysterious Afghanistan off-spinner Mujeeb Zadran became only the third player from his country to sign for an Indian Premier League (IPL) club when Kings XI Punjab signed Zadran for an eye-catchy sum of INR 4 crore in the player auction of 2018. Zadran has already represented his country at the senior level and was also part of their U19 World Cup squad.

Mujeeb’s love for Cricket grew at his home as his first cousin is the current Afghanistan player Noor Ali Zadran. The hard-hitting batsman had set up a small cricket academy inside Mujeeb’s palace, where the spinner learned his initial craft.
