Kolkata Knight Riders head coach has started his journey to India to attend this weekend’s Indian Premier League auction where the teams would be battling it out to complete their squads and sign their high-priority targets. And South African cricket veteran Jacques Kallis can’t wait to join KKR to take part in the decision making.
Jacques Kallis posts a cryptic tweet
Jacques Kallis shared his travel plans via twitter where he said: Travel day today to India. Exciting few days ahead. IPL auction time this weekend. Who is @KKRiders gonna have playing for them this year.

Kallis is one of the topmost decision makers at Kolkata Knight Riders and he will have the final say on players KKR will sign using their Right to Match (RTM) cards and which players will they sign from the auction pool.
Kolkata Knight Riders have decided to retain their overseas stars, Andre Russell and Sunil Narine and are most likely to use their RTM card on Manish Pandey and Kuldeep Yadav while Gautam Gambhir could be snubbed following his recent dip in form.
Another surprise decision from KKR was to not opt for Chris Lynn and given Indian Premier League’s rules KKR cannot use their RTM card on Lynn as they already have 2 foreign players in their list of retained players.
Likes of Yuvraj Singh and Chris Gayle will be the major attraction in this year’s auction as all the teams will be gunning to sign players to complete their squads. Rashid Khan is also likely to cause a stir after he was not retained by the Sunrisers and will give a chance to start a bidding war for the Afghan spinner.
IPL auction has however caused quite a stir with Australian Big Bash League head coaches Stephen Fleming (CSK), Brad Hodge (KXIP), and Daniel Vettori (RCB) will be traveling to Indian to attend the IPL for their respective teams.
