Borussia Monchengladbach confirm interest in bringing back West Ham’s Reece Oxford

Borussia Monchengladbach were left disappointed after West Ham decided to recall Reece Oxford from his loan spell at the Bundesliga club.

It was reported David Moyes is unimpressed with his squad at West Ham and needs reinforcements. The 19-year-old started in the FA Cup match against Shrewsbury Town, but there still isn’t any clarity on his future.

Reece Oxford has already played for two clubs this season and that rules out any possibility of selling him in January.

Borussia Monchengladbach, however, are still hopeful of bringing back Reece Oxford to Germany. Max Eberl has been speaking to German media outlet Bild and confirmed their interest to bring back the English defender.

Max Eberl:”He can’t play for three clubs in a season. We’re just waiting.”

Gladbach’s vice-president, Rainer Bonhof, also confirmed that they’re hoping to sign the West Ham defender again on loan until the end of the season.

He said:”I can only imagine that they will loan out Reece Oxford again until the end of the season.’

Earlier, reports suggested RB Leipzig are also keen on signing Reece permanently, but that isn’t possible this season. He has made just 3 league appearances for Gladbach this season, but there seems to be enough interest around him in Germany.
