The charismatic striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s time at Manchester United could be heading for a fast exit after Zlatan has suffered another reoccurrence to his injured knee from last season.
Zlatan made a remarkable comeback on the playing field in December 2017, however, he was far from match fit and has even struggled to make it to United’s since then.
Amid the lack of game time and speculations of new players joining United in January, Zlatan Ibrahimovic is heavily tipped to quit Old Trafford during the January transfer window.
According to latest reports from TMW, Turkish side Besiktas are planning an audacious January swoop for Zlatan to replace the recently departed Cenk Tosun.
Tosun joined Everton earlier in the month and Besiktas are hoping Zlatan can fill the void and continue their push for the league title.
According to TWM, Besiktas have already held an initial talk with Zlatan’s agent Mino Raiola and have asked him to speed up the transfer.
If indeed it gets done, it would be a dream transfer for Besiktas as they would bring one of the most charismatic players in the modern era, however, there is one aspect which might see the deal fall flat on it’s face.
Can Besiktas afford Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s salary?
A club like Manchester United can afford to keep an injured player like Zlatan on their books even when he is not playing regularly, however, Besiktas need to sort out their financial priorities before making a move for the 36-year-old striker.
Be it Besiktas or MLS or even Chinese Super League, Zlatan Ibrahimovic looks certain to quit Man United this month and despite all the hype surrounding his move to Old Trafford, Zlatan will feel that he underachieved in the Premier League.
